ACIS(S) Membership & Application Procedures

Any Singapore registered company that is providing education consultation services recruiting foreign students to study in Singapore and providing placement services of foreign students into government schools or SQC PEOs, foreign companies and individuals, who are in the same industry may apply for membership to ACIS(S) in the following categories: Ordinary Member, Associate Member or Affiliate Member. Institutional Member is only by invitation of the Council Member.

Application for membership to ACIS(S) must be proposed and seconded by existing members of ACIS(S). The completed Membership Application Form shall be submitted to the Membership Committee for processing together with a cheque for the respective. Entrance Fee made payable to ACIS(S).

The Membership Committee comprising of the Membership Chairman and two Members shall meet once a month to evaluate all applications and submit their recommendations to the Council for approval.

The name of the applicant company and its Chief Executive Officer will then be posted on the notice board in ACIS(S)'s premises and the Association's website for a period of two weeks. The Council will take into considerations any objection raised and make a decision at the end of the two week period. The application shall be approved by a majority decision of the Council Members.

All applications shall comply with the provisions of the Constitution stipulating the categories of membership and their eligibilities. The Membership Committee may, at its own discretion,invite applicants for an interview to clarify and determine the suitability for membership.

On approval, the President shall issue a welcome letter to the successful applicant together with a copy of the Constitution, the Bye-Laws and the Code of Practice For Members. Members shall be issued with a Membership Certificate, a membership card and a list on all the privileges and benefits of membership.

Unsuccessful applicants shall be notified by the Chairman of the Membership Committee and the application fee be returned.

Successful applicants shall send a cheque for one year's Annual Subscription as acceptance of the membership to ACIS(S) within 14 days from receipt of approval letter.

Unsuccessful applicants may submit a request to the President for a review within 30 days from receipt of rejection letter.
